As autumn’s leaves rustle on the wind, as the last stalks of summer flowers wither, and as sunsets glow deep red-orange over the blue-green waters of fall’s smooth seas, one’s heart naturally feels the stark, lonely beauty of the season.
Amid bare branches and black nights, we must make special effort to comfort and nurture the soul. Autumn calls on us to wrap ourselves in blankets of quiet reflection, nourish our bodies with rich meals, and most importantly, take solace in the miracle of friendship. Meditation, which loves wildly all seasons of the heart, teaches us to love just the same.
All are welcome to this evening of guided and silent meditation, followed by a ceremony of friendship and a meditation talk.
