We define ourselves in so many ways: by our appearance, by our beliefs, by our memories. Our place in the world also give us a sense of self: our family, our relationships, our livelihood. However, it is rare for us to simply pause and enjoy being ourselves. When we do, we find that, moment by moment, countless experiences are creating who we are. To welcome all of these experiences gives us a sense of kindness toward ourselves and our own lives, and a similar kindness toward others and theirs. When we remember that we are really here on earth and we relax as ourselves, that kindness grows even more
This morning event includes guided meditation, a talk on meditation, dialogue, and a short ceremony. All are welcome.
$20 invited donation; all are welcome, regardless of funds.
Participants are invited to bring offerings for the altar: colorful fresh fruits, flowers, candles, incense, delicious drinks, incense, healthy snack foods, fragrant herbs, photographs of loved ones who are in need of support, and so on.
